| Singapore Skiing. Finally. I've been trying to do this for almost six years. Obviously, it is not easy to find skiing in Singapore. I've been forbidden to ski when there was snow, arrived right after a skiing place had bankrupted, found alternative skiing on off-limits sand, and hidden in despair in caves and abandoned bunkers. But Sport Quest to the rescue! Today I finally managed to ski in Singapore with the help of Sport Quest's indoor facilities at the Snow City. Snow, ice, cold, and on skis. Wonderful! | Ski Den Haag I was on a conference in The Hague (Den Haag). Fortunately, in the two evenings there I managed to skip a social event and find the local (summer) skiing by visiting the De Uithof sports complex in Utrecht Science Park. Among other facilities there's an indoor ski slope. Length is 177 meters, and the starting altitude is 0.4 meters under the sea level :-) Small slope but with a kick. And by kick I mean a turn. I had fun! Full story Alternate link June 2019, De Uithof, Hague, Netherlands Skiing (Outdoor, Snow, Lifts) | |
